Yoga on the Mat, in the Kitchen, and on Retreat

One of the things I love most about Yoga is that it doesn't just happen on the mat.

It follows you into the kitchen when you're deciding between the second coffee and something that might actually serve you better. It shows up in the small moments of checking in, how do I actually feel right now, what does my body actually need, and in the choices that come from that honest noticing. That's what I've been sitting with this week, and it's what I wrote about in this week's blog post, Yoga in the Kitchen.

And speaking of the practice showing up everywhere, it's been a great week inside the AUM@home Community.

Saturday's Vinyasa practice was all about moving energy through twists and wringing out what feels heavy or is weighing you down.

Monday's Core class recording is for those days when you don't want to get on the mat but you know you need to. It's nothing fancy, but it's just enough to shift how you feel.

Tuesday's Yin was a quiet practice built around postures that support digestion and promote rest.

⌲ And Thursday's Meditation was something a little different this week. I'm calling it a Mindful Moment. What I had intended to offer, didn't feel aligned. So instead I grabbed my Sacred Creators Oracle deck, pulled a card, and let it support a simple check-in, reflection, and moment of pause and breath.

Everything is in the Emerge & Lighten module in the Community. When you start your free 7-day trial, you get access to all of these this and more.

Tending Your Fire

Yoga, Ayurveda & You at La Solitude in New Brunswick, August 7-9, 2026

A weekend retreat for those who are tired of burnout and ready to find their glow again.

Registration opens on Monday, but you're hearing about it first!

Every fire needs tending. Too much wood and it becomes a bonfire. Wild, consuming, and hard to cozy up to. Too little or damp and rotten wood, and a fire struggles to stay lit. The fire inside you works the same way.

This weekend is an invitation to give your fire exactly what it needs through Yoga, breathwork, Ayurvedic teaching, journaling, simple foods, and time in nature. We'll gather, we'll practice, and we'll make space to understand and support what fuels you.

Early bird pricing, $499 + tax, ends May 31st, but if you already know this is for you, don't wait. Register below and I'll make sure you're first on the list.

That's the week! From the kitchen counter, to the yoga mat, to a retreat in New Brunswick this August — the practice really does go everywhere you go.

I hope something from this week lands with you, whether it's a cup of CCF tea, a class you've been meaning to get to, or a weekend in August that's calling your name.

Close up of a lady bug

NEWSLETTER Hello hello Reader The other day I was getting ready for Taekwondo training when a ladybug flew out of my neatly folded uniform. I had no idea what it was at first but my mind doing its mind-things, jumped to conclusions. Deciding in an instant that it had to be something bad, I actually caught myself feeling disgusted and mildly scared at what it might be. In the five seconds it took me to figure out what it was, I had gone from fearful surprise, to something close to disgust, to...

There aren't many things in life that go exactly as planned. More often than not, something comes up or gets in the way of best laid plans and intentions. Sometimes it's big. But more often it's small hiccups. → You meant to call the clinic and forgot and now it's closed. And it's the weekend. → You're standing in front of the mirror second-guessing the outfit you were so sure about in the store. → You drifted off thinking about a weekend getaway right in the middle of your boss asking you...

That's me. Roughly ten years old. When I learned that the last time May 1st, Beltane, and a full moon all landed on the same day was 1988, it stopped me in my tracks. I was immediately transported back to this little girl. The joy she had. The friendships. The creative things she practiced freely and, if I'm being honest, was rather good at. She wasn't getting in her own way yet. But somewhere along the way, that changed. I'm not sure exactly when, how or why it happened. I don't quite...
