New month, a full moon and a practice to support your unfolding 🌕

I don't know about you Reader but there's something about a full moon that stops me in my tracks.

Maybe it's the way it marks time more honestly than a calendar does. Or maybe it's the brightness of its light, the way it makes the familiar look a little bit different. Either way, Wednesday's full moon, landing on the very first day of April, felt significant for me. Like the Universe was offering a reminder to pause between what was and what is yet to come.

So I wrote about it.

This week's blog post is about personal power–what it actually is, the quiet ways we give it away without realising it, and why real self-care is less about bubble baths and more about the daily practice of choosing yourself. It's one of the more honest things I've written in a while, and I'd love for you to read it when you have a quiet moment.

You can find it here: The Weight of What we Carry and the Power of Letting Go

And if you'd like to do more than read, I also recorded a Yin practice this week specifically with the full moon in mind. Swan pose, supported straddle, and a restorative closing sequence. An hour of giving yourself permission to just let go. It's on my YouTube channel, ready for you whenever you are.

Both of these feel like a natural beginning to what we're exploring inside the AUM@home Community this month.

April's theme is Emerge & Lighten. After a month of building core strength and pelvic floor awareness, we're turning our attention to what we can shed, what we can release, and how we might step into spring feeling a little freer and a little more like ourselves. The practices this month will include yoga rooted in digestive support, and lightening the mental load we carry through breathwork and meditation practices. You'll also find the 7-day Radiant Reset, an Ayurvedic approach to food and lifestyle practices designed to give your system a little breathing room after a long winter. Not a strict cleanse. Just a nourishing week of simple meals and supportive practices that help your body remember what it feels like to feel light again.

All of it is happening inside the community as April unfolds. Right now, the Radiant Reset PDF is there and waiting for you, and today's meditation recording will be available shortly too. More practices, teachings, and conversations will be added throughout the month as we move through this season together.

If you're already a member, come on in. And if you've been curious about joining us, this is a lovely time to begin. You won't arrive to a finished product. You'll arrive to something that's alive and growing, just like spring.

See on you the inside,

Michelle

Close up of a lady bug

NEWSLETTER Hello hello Reader The other day I was getting ready for Taekwondo training when a ladybug flew out of my neatly folded uniform. I had no idea what it was at first but my mind doing its mind-things, jumped to conclusions. Deciding in an instant that it had to be something bad, I actually caught myself feeling disgusted and mildly scared at what it might be. In the five seconds it took me to figure out what it was, I had gone from fearful surprise, to something close to disgust, to...

There aren't many things in life that go exactly as planned. More often than not, something comes up or gets in the way of best laid plans and intentions. Sometimes it's big. But more often it's small hiccups. → You meant to call the clinic and forgot and now it's closed. And it's the weekend. → You're standing in front of the mirror second-guessing the outfit you were so sure about in the store. → You drifted off thinking about a weekend getaway right in the middle of your boss asking you...

That's me. Roughly ten years old. When I learned that the last time May 1st, Beltane, and a full moon all landed on the same day was 1988, it stopped me in my tracks. I was immediately transported back to this little girl. The joy she had. The friendships. The creative things she practiced freely and, if I'm being honest, was rather good at. She wasn't getting in her own way yet. But somewhere along the way, that changed. I'm not sure exactly when, how or why it happened. I don't quite...
