What are you doing for yourself over the next three months?

Well, hello hello!

September is plugging along, and I'm genuinely excited about a few offerings that are (re)starting before the month is out. Each one of them is a chance to do the same simple, quietly radical thing: put yourself at the top of your own to-do list.

First up, The Inward Journey, which begins one week from today.

This is my answer to a no-pressure-to-teach yoga training. I know so many people who took a yoga teacher training with no desire to actually teach. They just wanted to learn more and practice more. And I know even more people who long to go deeper into yoga but feel like a YTT is the only door in, when teaching was never the goal.

If either of those is you, this 12-week course was made with you in mind. We'll dive into the philosophy behind what we do on the mat, so you understand which practices support you, and when, how, and why.

You'll learn in a small, group setting, exploring Yoga, Ayurveda, the Chakras, and yourSelf, with 1:1 coaching and support from yours truly along the way. You'll also get a full year of live-streaming classes and access to the entire library of recordings.

You'll learn to read your own body and energy, notice what's really going on beneath the noise, and choose the practices that actually support you. Think of it as building your own little toolkit, the kind you can reach for on the stiff days, the tired days, and the tender ones.

If you've been wanting to take your practice deeper, this is your invitation. Come join us on the Inward Journey

And if the timing isn't right, no worries at all. This course will come around again in the months ahead. Just know that this is your chance to work with me on this deeper level, and to come home to yourself this fall, before the price goes up in 2027.

Next up, Yin + Sound is back. 🌙

I'm so happy to bring a monthly in-person class back to Hill Chapel in Spryfield. Starting September 27th, this specialty evening invites you to slow all the way down. You'll begin with supported Yin, then settle into a sound bath where I chant alongside the singing bowls, tingsha, and ocean drum while you rest and simply receive. Registration is over half full! To save your spot, hit reply, or click to reserve and pay online

Whatever you choose this month, or even if all you do today is read this to the end, I hope you'll find one small way to choose yourself and your wellbeing. That's really what all of this is. Permission, and a soft place to land.

I look forward to supporting you in whatever you choose.

Big love,
xoM

Earlier this week I sat at the kitchen table with my head in my hands, and ugly-cried over work stress. A few minutes into me losing my sh!t, my twelve-year-old walked into the kitchen, put his hand on my back and started to consciously take deep breaths. He didn't say a word. He just stood there, beside me, breathing. Eventually I followed along and took a few deep breaths too. And, as you might guess, I calmed down. I've been teaching mindfulness and movement since the '90s. And there I...

Hi Reader, If you've been flowing along lately, you'll know that I've been writing a weekly article on Substack where I share something about my practice and how it has anchored and supported me through life's ups and downs. And even though I had every intention of writing one this week, it didn't happen. Old Michelle would be stressing to the max, frantically trying to get a piece together and uploaded. I would have lost sleep over it and likely would have erupted under the pressure of...

The Inward Journey - a yoga immersion

Hi Reader If I’ve gleaned anything over the years of practicing Yoga, it’s that every time I get on my mat, I need something different. Some days, my body needs to move or build strength. Some days, I need to slow down, breathe, and settle my mind. And some days, I need to support an injury, low energy, stress, digestive discomfort, or whatever else life has 'happened' in my body, mind and heart. My practice changes because I change. And yours should, too. It's a bold statement, I know. But...
