AUM@home is evolving!

Hi Reader

I’ve been sitting with this email for a while now... excited, a little nervous, and very clear in my heart about what I want to share.

Over the years, my teaching practice has taken on many shapes: in-person classes, one-on-one coaching, a brick-and-mortar studio, community spaces, retreats, workshops, and more recently, online offerings. Each version has taught me something important.

What’s become very clear to me and my teaching practice is what I love most about this line of work, aside from the yoga that is, is the community.

I miss the regular conversations before and after class. The questions. The shared reflections. The feeling of practicing together, even when life is busy and imperfect. Because of that, I’m shifting how I teach in 2026.

Rather than weekly in-person classes, I’m moving toward a mostly online community-based model through a new space called AUM@home on Skool. I will continue to offer intentional, in-person experiences (like Yin + Sound sessions, half- and full-day workshops, and weekend retreats) however I don't have that schedule solidified yet. And, seeing how the new year is banging on the door, I wanted to keep you in the know sooner rather than later.

This change isn’t about teaching less. It’s about teaching in a way that feels more accessible, more sustainable, and more supportive... for you and for me.

What does all this mean? Well, inside the AUM@home Community, you’ll find:

  • a full library of prerecorded Yoga classes (similar to, but better in my opinion, than my current On-Line Library offering)
  • live-streamed classes, meditations, and monthly talks
  • new recordings added regularly and organized by month and theme
  • direct access to me through chat and community conversation
  • a space to stay connected without relying on social media algorithms

This format allows me to share practices, reflections, meal ideas, and motivation in real time AND allows you to engage when it fits your life, not just at a specific hour once a week.

Important to know: I will still be teaching in person. These offerings will now be more workshop-style rather than weekly drop-ins. The first in-person offering of 2026 is schedule for Friday, January 30th at Hill Chapel for a Yin + Sound Session. I’ll be sharing more details on that in another email.

If you’ve practiced with me before, recently or years ago, I hope you know how much that means to me. Whether you choose to join now, later, or simply stay connected in your own way, you’re always welcome here. And, I truly appreciate your presence.

This next chapter for me is deeply rooted in self-care, community, accessibility and a deep desire to support real life practice. I’m so grateful you’re here, and I truly look forward to sharing what’s ahead.

With love and gratitude,
Michelle

A daffodils in spring snow

Hello hello Reader , Happy first day of spring! I enjoy winter, I really do. But this morning, as I stepped outside for my walk, a red-breasted robin was singing high up in the tree, and I have to say, I felt genuinely grateful for the signs of a new season. Spring doesn't always look the way we expect it to, and there is actually snow in the forecast here today, which made me laugh. Also, on my walks this week, I've noticed how the tree tips are starting to look fuzzy and new growth is...

Hello hello Reader , I want to share something a little personal with you today. I know what it's like to cough, sneeze, laugh too hard, or chase the dog around the yard and feel that quiet embarrassment that so many of us carry around without ever saying out loud. Incontinence is one of those things women often live with in silence, assuming it's just part of the deal after having babies, or getting older, or simply being a woman with a busy body and a full life. It doesn't have to be. What...

Good day, good day Reader , This time last week I was completely knocked down by a nasty flu. Fever, chills, headache… it was one of those bugs where you go to bed feeling fine and then somewhere in the middle of the night you wake up and know you're in for it. For three full days it was couch to bed, bed to couch, sipping water and broth, allowing my body the time it needed to rest and recover. It wasn’t how I would have planned to spend the week, but sometimes the body makes decisions that...
