Hey Reader, And a brand new year is waiting in the wings. December is… a lot. In the best and messiest of ways. I don't know about you, but these days don’t feel quiet or slow for me. They feel full. Full calendars, full hearts, full lists, full minds, full grocery carts. I’m mostly focused on staying organized, keeping myself calm(ish), and remembering to enjoy it all even when it feels like I've got one too many plates spinning. Yet somewhere in the middle of all that, so much good stuff is unfolding. The biggest piece is that I can feel myself letting go of old versions of me. The ones that once upon a time worked, that once made sense, but honestly, just don’t anymore. No big drama. No burning it all down. Just a soft, thank you to where and what I've been… and goodbye. There’s a surprising lightness in that. And a quiet kind of excitement too. And that feeling is shaping the direction of my teaching as we head into 2026. In January, AUM@home will be opening into a new online space. One that feels simpler, warmer, and more supportive of real life. A place to practice yoga, explore Ayurveda, ask questions, stay inspired, and most importantly, stay connected and in community. It feels like a happy ending and a fresh beginning all rolled into one sweet and delicious chocolate covered peanut butter ball. (Great, now I have a cookie craving... 😂). I’ll share more soon. But for now, this is just a little wave hello from the December swirling, and a reminder that it’s okay if you’re not feeling zen right now. The exhale is coming. (Usually around the 26th 😉) Sending warmth, light, and a bit of peace your way. Big love, |

Hello hello Reader , Happy first day of spring! I enjoy winter, I really do. But this morning, as I stepped outside for my walk, a red-breasted robin was singing high up in the tree, and I have to say, I felt genuinely grateful for the signs of a new season. Spring doesn't always look the way we expect it to, and there is actually snow in the forecast here today, which made me laugh. Also, on my walks this week, I've noticed how the tree tips are starting to look fuzzy and new growth is...
Hello hello Reader , I want to share something a little personal with you today. I know what it's like to cough, sneeze, laugh too hard, or chase the dog around the yard and feel that quiet embarrassment that so many of us carry around without ever saying out loud. Incontinence is one of those things women often live with in silence, assuming it's just part of the deal after having babies, or getting older, or simply being a woman with a busy body and a full life. It doesn't have to be. What...
Good day, good day Reader , This time last week I was completely knocked down by a nasty flu. Fever, chills, headache… it was one of those bugs where you go to bed feeling fine and then somewhere in the middle of the night you wake up and know you're in for it. For three full days it was couch to bed, bed to couch, sipping water and broth, allowing my body the time it needed to rest and recover. It wasn’t how I would have planned to spend the week, but sometimes the body makes decisions that...
